Cooling Tower Inspection & Clean
During a recent cooling tower inspection, we found a large build up of scale throughout the tower. We submitted a detailed report to the client complete with comprehensive photographic support.

Cooling Tower Surveys
During a recent cooling tower survey, we found a huge build up of slime in the cooling towers which can harbour and provide nutrients for Legionella bacteria.

Below: Sediment and slime in the pack

We recommended that the Legionella risk assessment and the water treatment programme be reviewed as a matter of urgency as we feel that the towers present a considerable risk at the moment. This was further compounded by the fact that the towers were observed to have large amounts of drift coming from the fan area whilst in operation. As a precaution we recommended that the towers be cleaned every 3 months until the conditions are improved and the source of the slime has been identified.
Cooling Tower Deep Clean
This cooling tower was generally in a satisfactory condition. Scale was removed with the aid of pressurised water and a scouring pad, and the fill pack was removed and cleaned with a mild acid solution to remove the scale. The pond was cleaned using a submersible pump and vacuum to remove sediment and scale.

Cooling Tower Deep Clean
This cooling tower was extremely fouled with gelatinous deposits. The pack, air inlet panels and drift eliminators were removed and pressure washed to remove all of the deposits. The tower sumps were vacuumed out and all internal surfaces were washed. We then replaced the clean tower pack infill, the drift eliminators and the air inlet panels for each cell.

Cooling Tower Inspections & Cleans
During cooling tower inspections, we found a large build up of scale throughout towers, dirty and collapsing air inlets, corrosion in drift eliminator frames, brittle drift eliminators and collapsing supports.
